On the Sims 2 I resurrected my wife, and when she came back we couldn't be in love?

OK so we were married and then she died from hunger. Then when i resurrected here using 10000 dollars so she came back perfect, she came back and we only thought of eachother as friends and we were family.(but not married) now i worked them up to 100 on each relationship level and they both wont get a crush on eachother or fall in love...but they want to get engaged. but since i cant do that when theyre not in love idk what to do
