Why is my mom so ignorant? carbon monoxide problem?

We get all car from our alarm company that there is carbon monoxide traces in our house. She completely ignores it and thinks its some sort of fluke. I told her it's really stupid that she doesn't call back and that it's better to be safe than sorry. And she's getting all mad at me. So than I picked up the phone and was going to call and she gets mad and yells "PUT DOWN THE PHONE!" I'm so sick of her, I really want to punch her in the face.
