How do I convert Matroska (*mkv) files to AVI files?

find a converter that can do this job But beleve me it is not worthet. It can take you hours even days if you have a lot of files. Usually on a computer with 2 core X 2 GHz processor and 2 GB of ram takes about 1-2 hours to convert a video file from one format to another (avi to dvd)
