Need some quick help with my baby oranda!?

hi, I just bought a baby oranda. I also have bought a 10 gallon tank and have been filtering it for a week before puting him into it. When I put him into the tank, he is just sitting in one place near the corner. When I try to make him move by tapping on the gl, he moves, and then tries to hide under the filer. Is there something wrong if he is just sitting in one place?
