Question for the 21 to 30 year old ladies.?

Hello, I have a serious question for you folks. I recently subscribed to a personals website and I haven't really had any luck. I had put in my profile that I am 27 and in college because unfortunately I had to go into the Marine Corps at age 18 versus going directly to college like most normal people do. This wasn't my fault at all since I had ZERO support from my parents with regards to going to school. Anyway, do you guys see veterans such as myself as abnormal losers or something??? Unfortunately, not everyone gets to come from a normal family and go directly to college after high school and have a career etc. The only other thing that I can think of that might be turning potential mates away is my height. I am 5'7" tall and it seems like most women prefer a man who is at a MINIMUM of 5'9" even if they themselves are only 5'2" or 5'3". I am not obese or anything so I can't figure out what is wrong with me. Maybe the city of Colorado Springs and the state of Colorado for that matter just SUCKS as far as dating goes.
