What Is Your View On FanFiction?

I think fan fiction is fine. I've never made any myself and I don't read/watch much etc, but as long as the creators of the fan fiction aren't materially profitting, I don't really see a problem with it. Of course, I might feel differently if people were taking the characters/situations that I've created and manipulating them their own stories. Still, I think it can be harmless fun wihout infinging on copyrights.
