My best friend is drifting down the wrong path...help?

I love him with all my heart we go way back. We've always been friends. I remember back in the day we used to play fight and all the funny times we had. He was sent away to jail a year ago and came back home recently. We picked up sorta where we left off. He ended with illegal drugs and weed,alcohol and was a true narco..um,so he had to attend narcotics anonymous. He came back and started having gay . And I am not trying to infringe upon sh*t I'm just simply trying to portray the befores and afters. He has stopped with drugs but that reckless side is what makes me a little reluctant with him. Behind all the laughs grins and amazing talks we have...things are clearly not the same....help me get over it?
